Every year around month March we celebrate the holiday Purim.
Purim is one of my favorite holidays, not only the fantastic fantasy biblical story but mainly because of the opportunity to jump and hide behind masks and disguise, the colorful and imaginative carnival of characters of children and adults. In the past years most of the disguised characters where taken from the biblical figures, now a days the children follow the TV series.
This year I chose the 30's for my Purim party. Something in that period was different, women's hair was since then was always long, put together in a various ways, suddenly was cut off short.
Glamour style and chic was every where. It was a huge change, it was a big hint for the women independence.
The Art Deco period influenced also house decor and buildings.
